AUTHOR GUIDLENES

Articles or papers to be submitted must meet the following limitations:

  1. The script uses Indonesian or English.
  2. The manuscript has never been published in another scientific periodical.
  3. Manuscripts published in this journal include articles on: policies, research, thoughts, concept/theory reviews, new book reviews and other information related to engineering and computer problems.
  4. Manuscripts must be submitted online through the journal website. Authors must be logged in to submit a manuscript. For submission guidelines, see the online submission menu. Online registration is free of charge.
  5. The number of paper pages is between 4 to 10 A4 pages (210 x 297 mm) with a manuscript format according to the template provided, including images, tables, and does not contain appendices. The manuscript is written using Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) with a top margin of 19 mm, left and right 14.32 mm, and 43 mm for the bottom margin.
  6. The Title and Keywords are written in Indonesian, while the Summary and Abstract must be written in Indonesian and English.
  7. The number of words in the title is around 15 words with the following provisions: Times New Roman (TNR) font with font size 12, single spacing, center alignment, bold and spacing after 6 pt. If the title is too long, the editor has the right to edit the title without changing the meaning of the title, without the consent of the author, when the manuscript will be printed or published.
  8. It is recommended that article titles be written in Indonesian according to the Enhanced Spelling (EYD). If there are words in a foreign language, they are written in italics (Italic).
  9. The author's name should be in Times New Roman 10, bold and single-spaced. If there is more than one author, separate them with a comma and write the number 1 if the first author, number 2 if the second author, and so on.
  10. Include the institution of origin (affiliation), address, postal code and author's email and write using TNR 10.
  11. The article begins with an Abstract and a Summary. The Abstract and Summary should not contain images or tables, be aligned right-left, TNR 10 pt font, bold, and single-spaced. The Abstract is written in English and Indonesian, and the Summary is written in Indonesian. The Abstract and Summary should not be more than 250 words. The Abstract and Summary should describe the essence of the entire article.
  12. Keywords contain three to eight words, separated by commas, aligned right-left, TNR 10 font, and single-spaced. Keywords are carefully selected, so that they can reflect the concept contained in the article and help improve the accessibility of the article in question.
  13. The body of the manuscript must follow these rules:
  • Written in a two-column format with 4.22mm (0.17") space between columns, justified, TNR 10, spacing 1. Margin limits are set as follows: top = 19mm (0.75") ; bottom = 43mm (1.69"); left = right = 14.32mm (0.56").
  • The systematics of writing an article must contain four main parts: (1) Introduction, (2) Main Content (Methodology and others), (3) Results and Discussion, and (4) Conclusion. Acknowledgements may be displayed after the Conclusion. References are placed at the very back. The chapter titles that must be there are Introduction and Conclusion. The Main Content chapter title explains the research method, but does not have to be titled Method or Methodology. Results and Discussion may be written in one chapter, or written in separate chapters.
  • Maximum headings are created in 3 levels:
  • Heading 1: Level 1 headings should be in small caps, centered, and numbered with uppercase Roman numerals. Level 1 headings that should not be numbered are "Acknowledgements" and "References". For example, "1. INTRODUCTION".
  • Heading 2: Level 2 headings should be in Italics, left-aligned, and numbered in uppercase. For example, "C. Section Headings".
  • Heading 3: Level 3 headings should be spaced, italicized, and numbered with Arabic numerals followed by a right parenthesis. Level 3 headings should end with a colon. The content of the level 3 section continues following the heading title in the same paragraph. For example, this section begins with a level 3 heading.
  1. Figures and tables should be centered. Large figures and tables can be stretched across both columns. Any table or figure that spans more than 1 column should be positioned at the top/bottom of the page. Figures are allowed to be colored. Figures are numbered using Arabic numerals. Figure captions are in TNR 8 font. Single-line figure captions are centered, while multi-line captions are aligned. Figure captions are placed after the related figure.
  2. Mathematical equations must be written clearly, numbered sequentially, and provided with the required information.
  3. Page numbers, headers and footers are not used. All hypertext links and bookmarks are removed. If the paper needs to refer to an email address or URL in the article, the full address or URL should be typed in a regular font.
  4. Citations and References are written following IEEE standards.
  5. Citations are numbered in the format [1], [2], [3], ... in the order they appear.
  6. Wikipedia, personal blogs, and non-scientific websites are not allowed.
  7. Primary references must be taken no more than 5 years ago.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscript has not been previously published and/or is not under consideration for publication in another journal.
  2. File documents are submitted in Microsoft Word format.
  3. Abstract is written in English and Indonesian
  4. The text is written single-spaced, using a 12-point font, not using an underline system (except for URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed in the text where they belong and not at the end.
  5. Bibliographic requirements and style are outlined in the Author Guidelines provided.
