Published articles reflect the quality of the authors' work and the institutions that support them.
Peer-reviewed publications uphold and promote the scientific method. Therefore, it is important to establish ethical standards for all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, publishers, and the academic community.
As the publisher of JIME, LPPM STMIK Triguna Dharma takes its responsibilities in all stages of publication seriously and is committed to maintaining high ethical standards. Publication Decisions
The editors of JIME are responsible for deciding which submitted articles should be published. Editorial decisions are based on the manuscript's originality, scientific merit, relevance, clarity, and contribution to the fields of management and education.
Editors may be guided by the journal's editorial policies and legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement, plagiarism, and publication ethics. Editors may consult reviewers and editorial board members in making publication decisions.
Fair Play
Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, citizenship, institutional affiliation, or political philosophy of the authors.
Confidentiality
Editors and editorial staff must not disclose information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, prospective reviewers, editorial advisors, and the publisher as appropriate.
Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used by editors for their own research without the author's explicit written consent.
Duties of Reviewers
Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Peer review assists editors in making editorial decisions and helps authors improve the quality of their manuscripts through constructive feedback.
Promptness
Any reviewer who feels unqualified to review a manuscript or cannot provide a timely review should notify the editor and withdraw from the review process.
Confidentiality
Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents and must not be shared or discussed with others without authorization from the editor.
Standards of Objectivity
Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of authors is inappropriate. Reviewers should express their opinions clearly and support their evaluations with appropriate arguments.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant published work not cited by the authors and inform editors of any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under review and other published works.
Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
Information obtained through peer review must remain confidential and not be used for personal advantage. Reviewers should not review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest arising from competitive, collaborative, financial, or other relationships with the authors or institutions involved.
Duties of Authors
Reporting Standards
Authors should present an accurate account of the research performed and provide an objective discussion of its significance. The manuscript should contain sufficient detail and references to allow others to replicate the work.
Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.
Data Access and Retention
Authors may be requested to provide raw data related to their manuscript for editorial review and should retain such data for a reasonable period after publication.
Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original. Any use of the work, ideas, or words of others must be properly cited or quoted.
Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication
Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously. Duplicate publication is considered unethical and unacceptable.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Authors should cite all publications that have significantly influenced the reported work.
Authorship of the Paper
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study.
All contributors who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the final manuscript and agreed to its submission.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence the interpretation of their research findings.
All sources of funding supporting the research must also be disclosed.
Fundamental Errors in Published Works
If authors discover significant errors or inaccuracies in their published work, they must promptly notify the journal editor and cooperate in correcting or retracting the article as necessary.
Ethical Oversight
JIME is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record and follows internationally recognized publication ethics standards. Any allegations of misconduct, plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, or unethical research practices will be investigated by the Editorial Board and handled according to established ethical guidelines.
