The journal provides direct open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
The copyediting stage is intended to improve the flow, clarity, grammar, wording, and formatting of the article. This is the author's last chance to make substantial changes to the text as the next stage is limited to typing and formatting errors. The file to be copied is in Word or .rtf format and can therefore be easily edited as a word processing document. The set of instructions shown here proposes two approaches to copying. One is based on Microsoft's Track's Changes Changes feature and requires copy editors, editors, and authors to have access to the program. The second system, which is software independent, has been borrowed, with permission, from the Harvard Educational Review. Journal editors can modify these instructions,
